Simple, easy-to-understand whiteboard animation to help early elementary-aged children gain an understanding of the way their brains work to recognize and manage their emotions. This is intended as a beginning resource to help children, parents, educators, and those who work with children to encourage mindfulness, empathy, and emotional regulation.

It’s not always easy to tell others that your child has challenges managing their thoughts or feelings. And it might not be easy for your child to express that either. Even though it is normal for people of any age to experience these challenges, our culture has told us we need to fear them. In this video, we ask why it is this way and what we can all do to give each other the support we need to get help.

Talking Mental Health is an animation designed to help begin conversations about mental health in the classroom and beyond.

The film was produced by the RCPsych Public Engagement Committee on the topic of Bipolar Disorder. For more information, visit RCPscych.
